You never forget the teachers who pushed you. The talents that inspired. The competitions the almost broke your will.
You never forget your first performance. You never forget your worst. More importantly, you never forget that incredible feeling of joy from when you danced your best, or even when you did your first complete fuete!
Perhaps the most magical of all – finding who you are on that dance floor and bonding with fellow dancers who share your common interests. It’s a lifelong pact. It’s part of your history. A chapter forever written and a developmental piece in your life.
This was my childhood.

This past year, as I’ve incorporated ballet, contemporary, jazz, and lyrical into my relearning, I’ve danced barefoot and even in my socks. But, it’s been years since I’ve slipped into true ballet slippers.
I have to say, today, it felt different. Nostalgic. A vortex into memory lane. As I carefully unpackaged my new @Blochdanceusa shoes, I smiled. I felt like Cinderella, putting on her glass slipper. ✨
